The garage is the individual workspace allocated to each Formula 1 team within the pit lane building. Each team has one garage per car, containing the car itself, all the tools and equipment needed to work on it, screens showing live data from the car, and the mechanics who service it. The garage is where setup changes are made, repairs are carried out, and engineers monitor the car during sessions. It connects directly to the pit lane so mechanics can perform pit stops without the car travelling far.
Example: The car has been brought back to the garage with a suspected suspension failure — the engineers are assessing the damage now.
The garage is inside the pit lane building; the paddock is the broader area behind it where motorhomes and team offices are located. They are different spaces with different functions.
